Anecdotes Across the Lifespan—a workshop for writers new to life-writing

8 weeks, with twice weekly prompts. A small group for @8 writers to share short pieces—well-crafted anecdotes of <1000 words, the building blocks of memoir—and to give brief bits of feedback to each other.

The facilitator, Andrew Tibbetts, is a national magazine award-winning writer, and a PhD student researching life-writing and psychotherapeutics. The modality will be our version of Auto-theory, the feminist mix of autobiography and philosophy. We make sense together and find meaning in what we share. The personal is political; the events of our lives matter to each other. This has been a fancy way of saying we will share bits of our life stories and talk about their meaning.

If you are interested in exploring memoir, and would like to dip your toe in, inside of a supportive environment, this is the workshop for you.
