Picture book writers (at any level, new and experienced) are asked to submit one manuscript they would like feedback on, then exchange critiques of all other group members’ work. Manuscript can be at any stage of development, from early draft, to brainstorming ideas to a polished story.  Fiction submissions should be under 1,000 words; nonfiction submissions should be under 1,500 words. We will have 2 weeks to critique each other's stories.  The group will be capped at 8 participants.

Hello! I'm excited to be hosting the mid-March 2023 PB pop-up critique group! Please share one manuscript, including an optional submission note on anything you’re looking for feedback on (a short pitch or query; any questions you're looking for answers on). For peer critiques, in addition to in-line comments, please include big-picture: plot, external (action) arc, internal (emotional) arc, what is working well, and what needs to be strengthened.
